UK Sailing Academy (UKSA) is a national maritime youth charity, based in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, with a vision to widen access to maritime training, to enhance life skills and employment in the sector. We are the largest RYA training centre in the world, providing schools and groups activity programmes, full-time education courses and professional career training in yachting and watersports. We will have a course to suit you, whether you are an entry-level novice or a professional looking to top up your training and qualifications.
What makes your company different from the competition?
We don't just offer certification and training, as a youth maritime charity, we can offer that something extra. We really look after our young people. Our careers students benefit from mentoring, access to our careers network, realistic careers advice and help with CVs. We have a fantastic fleet, a waterfront 4-acre campus, inspirational instructors, and great facilities.
How many people do you employ or train each year?
We have 10,500+ young people through our doors each year which can range from up to 300 school children a day through to 40+ cadets a year on our flagship course, the Superyacht Cadetship.
Why are you a good company to work for or train with?
People should train with us for several reasons. As a maritime youth charity, providing opportunities for young people is at the core of everything we do. We often have funding opportunities available. Our courses lead people towards careers in the watersports industry, the maritime/yachting industry and in particular the growing (and lucrative) superyacht sector.
