About The Great Escape The idea for The Great Escape was conceived in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal. Mark Willis, the founder and owner, spent much of his time trekking, rafting and exploring the amazing natural surroundings of his childhood home, as well as benefiting from the experimental learning. These experiences form the cornerstone of everything he believes in and does today. Mark realised his dream of The Great Escape in 2009 and together with his wife, Alex, and their four children, have established a permanent base for the company at Great Hagley, a 120 acre estate in the beautiful Shropshire countryside; a location that lends itself to objective based outdoor adventure, from climbing activities, orienteering and night walks to rafting and team building challenges. A 520m long, 360 panoramic Black Hawk zip line and Tiger Challenge Course. Mark, Alex and their team run school and youth camps throughout the year, offering a truly personal service with exclusive use of the site. Corporate team building days, family get-togethers, stag & hen events are also held on site. We are looking for a Team Leader and mentor for objective based outdoor adventures; guiding children through activities and interacting with them to help build their character, confidence and a sense of derring-do. This would suit someone who wishes to specialise in outdoor recreation, working with children and who loves the great outdoors and being immersed in it come rain or shine!
