Simonsbath House Outdoor Centre is situated in the heart of Exmoor overlooking the Barle Valley and holds great historical interest dating back to 1654. Most of the centre activities take place in the 4 acres of private grounds or adjoining Exmoor National Park The centre has immediate safe access to acres of beautiful moorland countryside and overlooks the Barle River which has SSSI designation. As well as providing an excellent location for habitat investigation, the centre offers considerable learning opportunities in all aspects of the curriculum, and a broad range of outdoor and adventurous activities. The centre offers en-suite dormitory accommodation for up to 34 students and their leaders. All bedding is provided and bedrooms are heated and fully carpeted. The centre offers a range of indoor facilities including a large dining room and common room, a fully equipped classroom, a small souvenir shop and washing and drying facilities. The chef offers a wide and varied menu using local produce and caters for both vegetarians and those on special diets.
