International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) provides safe, responsible and affordable volunteer abroad programs in countries around the world. In addition to providing aid and assistance to these countries, we endeavor to increase education and heighten awareness through not only the skills and expertise brought by volunteers to their host communities and institutions, but also through the experiences and lessons volunteers in turn bring back to their own countries and culture. Each year, we place thousands of volunteers in projects in Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Victoria Falls, Morocco, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Bali, Cambodia, China, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, and Mexico. IVHQ was formed in 2007 with the aim of making volunteering possible for everybody through affordable, safe, high-quality projects.
What makes your company different from similar gap year providers?
Realising that supporting local people in areas of need either required a huge time commitment, or else a substantial financial outlay by the volunteer, IVHQ decided to change the nature of volunteering, making it possible to travel and make a difference, without breaking the bank, by partnering with local organisations to get help to exactly where it is required.
IVHQ receive applications from charities all over the world, but only select the highest quality that will provide the best experience for you, our volunteers. You can now choose to offer your time in more than twenty countries, in South America, Latin America, Africa and Asia, with programs ranging from teaching and sports education to music and medical work.
