After many a ski holiday, many a ski season and many a time complaining about ‘normal life’ in England, we packed our bags, sold our marketing company and bought a one-way ticket to the Alps to start our dream. The moment we discovered Serre Chevalier, we knew this was the resort for us. We have skied all over Europe, but nothing quite prepared us for the beauty and diversity that Serre Chevalier has to offer. As well as the vast amount of skiing, the resort offers so much more – Briançon is a World heritage site and has one of the prettiest cobbled streets in France full of boutiques, bars and traditional restaurant – not to forget the panoramic mountain views! We very much own and run Bear Lodges and are a young and fun company to work for!
What makes your company different from the competition?
We are young, enthusiastic and love the mountains just as much as you do!
We offer a very personal service from the time of enquiry, until after the guests have gone, and ensure it's the best ski holiday possible. We make it as easy as possible for the client and pre arrange everything for them, meaning they can put their feet up on arrival and let the holiday start (instead of queuing for ski hire in the shop on a Saturday afternoon), as we'll have the skis and boots ready in the chalet!
How many people do you employ or train each year?
We're a small company, meaning we'll all be super close by the end of the season.
There is me Josy (this season, I'll be mainly doing the admin!), Joe my husband (he'll be helping around Chez Bear and doing most of the driving), we also have recruited a host, Joanna, she'll be joining us for her first season at Chez Bear and potentially YOU a chalet chef.
Why are you a good company to work for or train with?
We were doing ski seasons not long ago ourselves so know how to have fun and how to make the most out of the 5 months.
If you work hard for us, we'll reward you!
Ski away days, meals out and lots of fun is what you can except from working with us!
